truth tables & quadratic formula

Could students be asked to construct a truth table or solve a quadratic that does not factor on the Geometry Regents? Do you find this valuable?

While I cannot claim to be 100% correct on this, it is my firm belfief that truth table construction is not in the NYS math curriculum at all and that the Quadratic Formula is not used until Integrated Algebra 2/Trigonometry.
However, I also believed that the Geometry sampler exam would reflect the state's claim that 40-50% would be on geometry proof. :)
